Where did this week go?! I woke up on Tuesday and thought it was Wednesday until I checked Instagram which, frankly, was a big disappointment! My watch actually tells me what day of the week it is, yet I somehow still get confused.
After Wednesday finally came and went, the rest of the week seemed to fly by. It snowed…. again (insert giant eye roll here) and we even got some freezing rain. I definitely spent zero minutes outside unless I was running to the car and I don’t even regret it!
I spent another week not running much to let my shins rest and I struggled a little to stay motivated without specific workouts on the calendar. I also have realized how much I love the spin bike. I want one now!
Okay…. before I continue with the most boring details about my week, let’s just see what I actually accomplished at the gym!
Monday, February 5: 60 minutes spin bike + 30 minutes strength training
Tuesday, February 6: 60 minutes spin bike
Wednesday, February 7: rest day which is going to become a theme this week it seems!
Thursday, February 8: 40 minutes spin bike + 10 minutes running | I didn’t have much time, so did what I could!
Friday, February 9: unintentional rest day brought on by changing of plans, Anson’s working and lack of car. I did do my leg and ab exercises at home and my hips were massively sore on Saturday!
Saturday, February 10: oops. another rest day. The Olympics are supposed to be motivating, but apparently, they motivate me to sit on the couch and watch them.
Sunday, February 11: 32 minute run + 60 minute spin bike + leg/ab work at home | I ran! I forced myself to keep it slow and short in case my shins started hurting later, but they didn’t! They felt pretty good all night, so I’m pretty excited about that!
I am adding in more running this week along with cross training and strength work. I have been doing calf exercises along with ab and hip/glute work, but keep forgetting to write it down! This week I will try to do better at that.
How was your workout week? Any else ever struggle with shin issues?
(By the way, there are 11 sleeps until we leave for our cruise. I know you’re dying to know!)
