Here’s what I did this week! Hopefully, I can start adding some strength training, but I’m trying to not put loads of pressure on myself and just be consistent with my runs right now!
Wednesday, December 6: Interval Run for a total of 9.33km (3 km warm up/ 2 x 30 sec, 1 x 60 sec, 1 x 90 seconds, 1 x 2 minutes & then back down those intervals with 2 minutes active rest between/ 3 km cool down)
Thursday, December 7: rest day
Friday, December 8: Interval Run for a total of 9.66km (3 km warm up / 10 x 1 minute with 2 minutes active rest between / 3 km cool down)
Saturday, December 9: rest day
Sunday, December 10: 8 km run
Monday, December 11: ummm…. I was supposed to do stuff, but I didn’t.
Tuesday, December 12: 5km easy run that turned into 2.4km due to the snow, ice and wiping out on my butt!
This week went so much better than I expected! I got into the NYC half marathon in March of next year so I have that on my brain which has me feeling motivated. I am also remembering how much better winter running is than running in the middle of the summer heat! I struggle to get out the door in the cold, but once I do I enjoy it so much more than when I’m overheating and sweating like crazy!
