I realize it is Tuesday but somehow it feels like a Monday–maybe because of Halloween! So let’s catch up on the weekend, ok?!
On Friday, I went to help my sister set up her booth at a Mom to Mom type sale! As I’ve mentioned many times before, she works for Beautycounter, so she was there to sell some product and get the word out. Rachelle, Cab & I set up her table and then I went back later Friday and Saturday morning to “help” (I was zero help cuz I have no idea what I’m talking about!). I loved her set up though & couldn’t resist sharing!
Friday after school, I took the kids to Value Village to hunt for Halloween costumes cuz I love to leave things until the last second (kidding!). We scored a monkey costume for J for $3.99 and the pieces we needed for Chloe’s cactus costume. Aimee just wanted her face painted like a deer but wanted to wear regular clothes–a sign that she is getting older.
On Saturday I got groceries which I simply love–best activity ever. lol. Then I took a gigantic nap because for some reason I was so tired! I helped Chloe get started on her costume and then she did it herself because she LOVES using a glue gun. LOVES it as in a glue gun is on her Christmas list.
On Sunday afternoon we carved pumpkins with the world’s worst knives. It was practically a disaster and since we don’t have any candles I can’t even show you what they look like:)
Aimee ended up using the drill and made a galaxy with some planets and constellations.
I roasted the pumpkin seeds and we ate them all on Sunday night. The self control in our family is lacking when it comes to food!
Monday morning was filled with getting Halloween ready before school, then again after school before we headed over to my sister’s to go trick or treating with my niece.
J really understood the concept this year and was so adorable as he ran from house to house! He would squeeze right up to the front and hold his bucket out. By the end of the night he figured it out and would sometimes stay there holding his bucket until he got another candy, then he would say, “Bye,” really loudly and run off again! It worked though because we have an epic amount of candy, that’s for sure!
Now it’s Tuesday morning and November 1st. How is it November?! Where did October go? I feel like I say this every single month, but time really is flying by.
Have a beautiful day and make sure you hit up Starbucks for Christmas drinks and cups today–it’s the best time of year there! (I tried to convince Anson of this last night, but he possibly thinks I’m even more weird now!)
What do you have planned for November?
Did your kids dress up last night?
