Last week I said I needed a job & last week I got a job working for Running Room. I am so grateful to my amazing friends for having confidence in me and being the best references I could ever hope for! I haven’t figured out how to juggle working, life, running, and blogging yet! I am trying to work on being super scheduled and organized, but it’s going to take some time especially once school starts and I get back into teaching piano on top of everything else. Feel free to pray extra hard for all of us:)
Summer is going to come to a close soon & while I complain about the heat, I’m probably going to miss running at the beach or along the waterfront!
This is what I accomplished this week on the exercise front:
Wednesday, August 10: I don’t have anything written down, but I’m really sure I ran today? Oh well! For some reason I can’t remember!
Thursday, August 11: Carmy & I got to go to a class at Studio Lagree where we barely survived. It was seriously difficult! I also got in a 6k run on the treadmill at night because it was way too hot to run outside!
Friday, August 12: REST DAY (on account of the fact that I could hardly walk) + first day of work
Saturday, August 13: Anson & I went to Sport Chek at Sherway Gardens for their grand opening! We met the Polar reps and got to run 5k with the group while testing out their watches! It was beyond humid, but the watch was amazing! Now, I really want one!
Sunday, August 14: I got up at 5:35 AM and was out the door by 6 for my 16k run. I ran 3km before I started crying and sat on a nearby curb. After I finished my little meltdown, I walked home. I am not sure what my issue was exactly, but I am trying to not let myself feel too overwhelmed this week. One day at a time!
Monday, August 15: I decided I would try to run my long run but I somehow scratched my cornea AGAIN and spent the night crying out of one eye and whining to Anson.
Tuesday, August 16: 6km run–3.4k with Aimee and then 2.6k alone. It was nice and cool and I had a much better run than I have in quite awhile! Hooray!
